Team VULCAN 16GB 5200MHz DDR5 Desktop Gaming RAM Review

Teamgroup is a known brand in the memory market and not only since DDR5. Today we’re looking at one of their more cost-effective product lines of the new RAM standard, in the form of a VULCAN DDR5-5200 2x 16 GB kit. In addition to testing in XMP, we will of course overclock the kit manually again and find out how close you can get to faster XMP kits in terms of performance. Team VULCAN 16GB 5200MHz name of the product series “T-Force VULCAN” has not only existed since DDR5, but it has only been relaunched now with a design refresh. In addition to the black heatsinks, the modules are also available in red, but in any case without lighting, since they are, as mentioned, cheaper SKUs. The XMP specifications offer a choice of 5200 Mbps, each with timings of 38-38-38-84 at 1.2 V or 40-40-40-76 at 1.25 V, as well as 4800 Mbps at 36-36-36-77 and 1.1 V. We will take a look at the middle and thus, at least on paper, the most sluggish of these designs in today’s test. There is only 16 GB as capacity per module, whereby these are always available in pairs. Typical for Teamgroup, the outer carton is kept relatively plain and both versions of the heatsinks are shown, so the same carton can be used for different SKUs. A sticker with the module number, capacity and clock rate is then attached at the top right. Next to the product name, we find a note about the “Lifetime Warranty” at the bottom. On the back, things get a bit more technical and detailed, with the most important features of the modules being highlighted in different languages. Besides the sleek design and reinforced heatsink construction, Teamgroup especially points out standard DDR5 features like XMP 3.0 support and on-die ECC here. Through a transparent viewing window, the stickers on the modules can already be seen, with the XMP specifications, product and serial number. This kit is called FLBD532G5200HC40CDC01. Inside, a carrier frame made of transparent plastic contains the modules as well as a warranty notice with installation instructions and a reflective “T-Force” sticker. The modules are kept relatively simple with a black PCB and black anodized heatsinks with an embossed pattern. On the side without stickers are a “T-Force” logo and lettering, as well as a “VULCAN DDR5” lettering printed in light gray. From above, you can clearly see the two halves of the heat sink, which hook into each other at two points and thus stabilize. Here, another “T-Force” lettering is printed in the center.

Adata 4GB DDR3 1333MHz Desktop Ram The Adata 4GB DDR3 1333MHz Desktop Ram module is a 512Mx72 bits 4GB(4096MB) DDR3-1333(CL9)-9-9-24 SDRAM memory module. The SPD is programmed to JEDEC standard latency 1333Mbps timing of 9-9-9-24 at 1.35V. Adata 4GB DDR3 1333MHz module is composed of eight-teen 256Mx8 bits CMOS DDR3 SDRAMs in FBGA package and one 2Kbit EEPROM in 8pin TDFN package on a 240pin glass–epoxy printed circuit board. Adata 4GB DDR3 1333MHz module is a Dual In-line Memory Module and intended for mounting onto 240-pins edge connector sockets. Synchronous design allows precise cycle control with the use of system clock. Data I/O transactions are possible on both edges of DQS. Range of operating frequencies, programmable latencies and burst lengths allow the same device to be useful for a variety of high bandwidth, high-performance memory system applications. Adata 4GB DDR3 1333MHz Desktop Ram Review Purchased this for an older Biostar motherboard mATX. Was not sure it would match its predecessor memory of the same bandwidth and speed etc. But it did and now I have 8 gigs of solid working memory. Boosted system performance significantly. Would recommend! Good memory at a good price. Despite it's different look, it perfectly matched the other 4GB ADATA stick with heat spreader that I had, allowing me to easily upgrade my workstation to 8GB. Working at 1333MHz @ 9-9-9-24 with no issues. As other reviews already state, this RAM does its' job. The price is great, and despite being a lower frequency than other choices there isn't a performance difference. This is great RAM for cheap, I'd recommend it to anyone.
