NF-A15 PWM 140mm Fan Review:
Conclusions: Performance: What can I say….
Very nice performance compared to other models from other brands providing the same performance but with higher noise level and I believe this model is suitable for installation as a fan cooling CPU cooler and as a fan to be installed on case fan slots.
1. Frame: 140mm plastic round frame painted in light pink with 150mm width for better performance based on
Noctua’s AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) technology. Of course, the fan frame offers the patented Stepped Inlet Design and Inner Surface Microstructures for decreasing the noise level.
2. Propeller: 7 blades of the painted in brown propeller with low angle offering leading to increased performance and focusing the air while decreasing the noise level from the air passing through the propeller.
3. Bearing: the patented bearing offering nice and smooth operation of the fan.
4. PWM control: Noctua’s NE-FD1 IC fan control tuned for superior quietness
Again this model offers Integrated Anti-Vibration Pads for reducing the vibration and the noise level while the fan is operating.
Before I close the article I want to say that after testing all 3 new models from the A series they offer pretty same features and performance but the third model, namely Noctua NF-A15 PWM, offered a bit lower noise level.
