Apacer Panther Golden 8GB 3200MHz Gaming Desktop RAM Review

Today we are reviewing Apacer Panther Golden 8GB 3200MHz memory. This is a successor to the Panther Rage Illumination and the Panther Rage. The first thing that you’ll notice is the claw-shaped design of the heat spreader. The Apacer Panther Rage RGB, yes, you’ve guessed it right – comes with RGB lighting, and this feature is very common in RAM nowadays, almost becoming the standard across all brands. Apacer Panther Golden 8GB 3200MHz kit that arrived consists of two 8GB 3200 MHz DDR4 modules. It’s the fastest one in the line-up, and it’s the optimal variant. Still, we are obviously going to check if anything more can be squeezed out of this set. You can always stay on the safe and stick to the advertised frequency + latencies using the Intel XMP 2.0 memory profile. Unfortunately, not really much information was provided on the manufacturer’s website, and something more (like QVL list) would have definitely been appreciated. Panther Rage RGB is available with the heat spreaders in two colours; black or a golden. The Panther Rage RGB offer starts at 2400 MHz CL16 and ends at 3200 MHz CL16. There are 8, 16, and 32 GB variants Today, we are going to review the first, probably more popular variant. Apacer Panther Golden 8GB 3200MHz lighting effects are customizable through Asus Aura Sync software. The reviewed kit aims at the mid-range segment of the market, and we received a standard 16 GB DRAM kit. A standard three-year warranty is provided for the modules.  The memory is optimized for use with the latest Intel motherboards, and processors, and there’s no mention of the AMD Ryzen platform. Apacer has cooperated with Asus TUF Gaming when developing the series. For our test, Apacer supplied a dual (2 x 8GB) black DDR4 kit rated at 3200 MHz with CL16 (nominal for this frequency), which is ideal for Z370 systems (dual-channel). Let’s start with some marketing. Apacer announced the introduction of its new Panther Rage RGB Series Performance DDR4 Memory Kits in June. Apacer Panther Golden 8GB 3200MHz angular asymmetrical design and golden-mirrored material refract a riot of colors. The use of highly transparent materials makes Panther’s prism-like teeth more vivid. The competition looks downright dull in comparison. By integrating with Aura Sync, it gives users complete control of the light show. It has multiple patterns to add in the future and allows the synchronization of different devices. Users can effortlessly customize patterns to reflect their personalities. In addition, Apacer has teamed up with ASUS TUF Gaming to design a new edition which integrates Apacer’s PANTHER with the solid, durable and camouflaged force from TUF gaming. It shows the determination to thrive on every battlefield. Apacer Panther Golden 8GB 3200MHz is capable of high clock rate and low latency, offering options in 2400/2666/2800/3000/3200MHz. Users can overclock on Intel XMP 2.0 without manual adjustments on BIOS parameters. Available in 8GB, and 16GB, this memory module can be combined up to a total of 128GB memory on Intel motherboards to achieve mind-blowing performance. To ensure superior stability, Apacer has also deployed professional technologies for industrial DRAM, including a highly efficient heat spreader and quality IC. It can operate effectively at low voltage and reduce the need for heat release. With an incredible potential for overclocking, heat spread, stability, and excellent value, PANTHER RAGE DDR4 RGB is ready to blow away its rivals and become the leading light in DRAM. “ Ok, now that this part has been handled, we can check what we have on the table. First up is Thaiphoon Burner, which is a very good utility for checking the basic data on a RAM die. According to the program, the chips under the “hood” are the Samsung B-Die (in 20 nm process), famous for its overclocking potential. That sounds good. The heat spreader was sitting very tight, and I didn’t want to damage the memory when removing it.

It is the DDR4 3200Mhz PNY XLR8 Gaming RAM, which we have put to the test with benchmark software so that we can test its capabilities and have a results report. The initial packaging of the PNY XLR8 8GB DDR4 RAM Memory. This is the box of the kit of two 8GB modules in Dual Channel. On the back of the box we are told about the properties for enthusiasts and the most demanding. A frequency speed of 3200 MHz (PC4-25600), 1,35V voltage, compatible with XMP 2.0 overclocking software, and with the speeds of 3300 MHz, 3000 MHz, 2933 MHz, 2800 MHz, 2666 MHz, 2400 MHz and 2133 MHz. In the compatibility it says that it is compatible with Windows 10 or earlier, but we can guess that compatibility is maintained in the case of using Windows 11. We take the modules out of the blister and turn them over to see if they have additional information. The only thing that we contemplate is that each of them has a sticker with the product information. Once the modules are connected to the motherboard, we appreciate the RGB strip, which will be especially noticeable on teams with a transparent side. G.Skill Trident Z 8GB DDR4 3200MHz Desktop Ram  Review Memory or RAM (Random Access Memory) isn’t just a highly functional part of any computer setup, but without it, your PC/laptop/device just simply wouldn’t be able to operate. Over the years, many companies have thrown their hat into the arena offering many different variations since the days of the original DDR memory. Now that we are in the age of DDR4, the competition is fierce and pricing is as at its most critical peak. One such company that is renowned in the memory sector is G.Skill; a Taipei-based giant that has been established since 1989. More recently they have moved some of their focus over to the peripheral market (check out our review of the G.Skill KM780 RGB Keyboard here); this hasn’t slowed down their memory division at all. Today we will be taking a kit from one of their top memory ranges, the G.Skill Trident Z. Today’s particular sample features a relatively high clock speed of 3200MHz with very tight timings of CL14. This makes this particular kit of memory particularly suitable for overclocking and high-performance applications. The packaging isn’t exactly anything out of the ordinary, but it does feature implemented Z to highlight which memory range this kit comes from; Trident Z of course! Looking at the actual modules themselves, this kit features 2 x DDR4 modules which equal to 16GB or 2 x 8GB modules depending on how you look at it (means the exact same thing really). This means that this kit is supported for dual channel platforms such as Intel’s Z170 platform and would be the perfect companion to the Intel Core i3/i5/i7 Skylake processors. The G.Skill Trident Z range features large and tall heat sinks (44mm or 1.73”); these have a nice gun metal grey coloured finish which looks very sleek and premium.
