Zotac Gaming GeForce GTX 1650 OC 4GB GDDR6 Review

When it comes to enthusiast grades Graphics solution, ZOTAC needs no introduction as they have been in business for some while now and have been producing a high end to budget segment graphics cards based on the Nvidia’s GPUs (Nvidia AIB Partner). Their other line of products includes storage drives, mini PCs.ZOTAC has a local presence in Pakistan through M/s PakDukaan who are their authorized distributor in this region. They have sent us for ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1660Ti, GTX 1660 and Zotac Gaming GeForce GTX 1650 Review. This content is based on ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1650 OC Edition graphics card, the last of the series. The Zotac GTX 1650 OC Review is based on TU117 chip using 12nm technology with a die size of 200mm² packing 4700M transistors. The Zotac GTX 1650 OC packs 896 CUDA Cores with a base clock of 1485MHz and the boost clock of 1695MHz. It features 4GB VRAM GDDR5 rated at 8 Gbps having a bus width of 128-bit using 128.1 GB/s bandwidth. The graphics card has 1x Display Port, 1x HDMI port and a DVI-D port. It features ZOTAC’s Icestorm 2.0 cooling solution using 1x 90mm fan and a specially designed aluminum heatsink mimicking sunflower, making direct contact with the GPU for effective heat dissipation till the endpoints. It is a small form factor design without any frills attached to it which is understandable. There is no backplate and the card draws power only from the PCIe slot of the motherboard (75W).We review the Zotac GTX 1650 OC Gaming, this incredibly small GeForce GTX 1650 has been fabbed to be a budget-friendly product, with an extremely small and compact size. We're talking less than 15cm here.  The single fan product is energy friendly as well, there's no need for even a power connector as it feeds from the 75 Watt PCIe power slot. These cards are fitted with 4GB GDDR5 memory based upon a 128-bit memory bus. While the clock frequencies of the GPU base and boost frequencies will vary a bit per board partner, the reference base clock speed is close to 1400 MHz. When the first rumors on the GeForce GTX (yes, with a G) surfaced, speculation was everywhere and we had doubts NVIDIA would actually release a new GTX while moving forward towards it's RTX branding. NVIDIA is now injecting Turing based GPUs into the mainstream called TU116 and this new GU117. To make it more affordable NVIDIA stripped away the RTX and DLSS features, that means there are no RT and Tensor cores in these products. It's a fall back towards the original shader design model. So to quickly recap; the 1650/1660 series is making use of the Turing architecture but will not have Raytracing and Tensor cores, this is why NVIDIA dropped the RTX suffix back to GTX. The GeForce GTX 1650 cards are to occupy a 149 to 179 USD price domain slash pricing level which coincidentally also is occupied by the AMD Polaris 20-based Radeon RX 570 series.

Gigabyte GT 710 instructions failed to mention the BIOS. My monitor did not work at first because when I booted, it was plugged into the new card. I pressed "delete" a few times hoping the computer would open BIOS so i could shut down, plug back into the onboard video card and then enter BIOS to disable the onboard video, and default to the PCIe slot. Once I did that, we were in business. Someone who is not familiar with BIOS might suspect the card does not work...don't forget to change your BIOS when you use onboard video card BEFORE you install the card. Once I got past that hiccup, it was fine. What i do NOT like is these companies now send a card without a CD or installation software and drivers. Not everyone has internet these days Yes hard to believe, But i purchased this for someone who has a home desktop computer, when i installed the card i was stunned that there were NO drivers or installation disk in the box. Companies are getting so cheap. I had to drive home over 40 miles D/L the software place it on a CD drive back to install the software for the card to run. Totally ridiculous. Gigabyte GT 710 card on the other hand works great now that i have it installed.,Make sure you install the software that comes with the video card. The windows default software technically works... but it is no good. Use the included software and then check for updates to assure you have the video card running at its best.Installation of software and drivers took forever. Once installed ran machine for about an hour. Next use was online gaming where this crashed and sent me to a black screen after only 10 minutes of online online multiplayer gaming. It has been returned and my older BFG 550 Ti is back in running like a champ. Advanced fan control is also included along with many more features to help you get the most out of your graphics card. Asus GeForce GT 730 2GB GDDR5 Review As the global semiconductor shortage continues on, manufacturers are taking this opportunity to offload some of their older stuff. Now Asus has (via momomo_us) recently and quietly launched a new model of the GeForce GT 730, a graphics card that dates back to 2014 and was far from being one of the best graphics cards even back then.Still, the new Asus GeForce GT 730caters towards professionals that are looking for a graphics card to enable multi-monitor productivity, which does give it at least an excuse of relevance even today. The graphics card comes equipped with four native HDMI 1.4b ports with HDCP 2.2 support and drives monitors with resolutions up to 4K (3840 x 2160).Built with Asus' Auto-Extreme technology, the GeForce GT 730 comes in a single-slot design with dimensions of 5.8 x 4.1 x 0.7 inches (148 x 105 x 18mm). Not that we expected it to be bulky, but this means it should have no problems fitting inside small-form-factor (SFF) systems. Like countless other GeForce GT 730 models before it, Asus' latest rendition features a passive cooling system to keep your system's noise low. This particular variant of the GeForce GT 730 utilizes GDDR5 memory, therefore, the GK208 (Kepler) silicon powers the graphics card. Nvidia has already announced its decision to drop Kepler support in the upcoming GeForce R470 driver, which is slated for August 31. However, this only applies to Game Ready updates, performance, new features and bug fixes. Kepler owners will continue to receive security updates until September 2024. The GeForce GT 730 isn't a gaming monster, but it does serve decently as a stopgap solution for processors that lack integrated graphics.Asus' specs for its Kepler-powered graphics card point to 384 CUDA cores with a 902 MHz boost clock in gaming mode and a 927 MHz boost clock in OC mode. It also features 2GB of 5 Gbps GDDR5. The memory runs across a 64-bit memory interface with the graphics card ending up with a maximum theoretical memory bandwidth of 40.10 GBps.One potential strength with releasing a new model of an older card is that the GeForce GT 730 has very low requirements. For one, this graphics card is perfectly happy residing on a PCIe 2.0 slot. It's rated for 38W so no external PCIe power connectors are required. Asus' recommendation for the GeForce GT 730 is a 300W power supply.
