I purchased this the SP DD4 4GB Ram to upgrade my ASUS F556UA budget laptop and I am very satisfied with my purchase and I'm glad I picked this oneThe main reason's I picked this over Crucial or other brands: - I wanted to upgrade my RAM without having to spend to much and at the time this was the most economical option available from a reputable brand - Upgrading with a higher spec'd or more expensive RAM would not have made a huge difference to my Budget laptop so getting a higher end RAM was unnecessary as other factors like a mechanical HDD vs SSD make a far more impact at this stage Good warranty and supportSince I purchased a single 4GB DDR4 stick, it came in a clamshell packing that held the RAM module securely in its place The RAM module itself is made on a black PCB that looks and feels well built , but more importantly the DDR4 RAM chips themselves are made by SiliconPower which means tighter integration and lower costs to consumers Installing RAM modules in most laptop these days should be very easy , as simple as insert the module and push it to have the clips 'catch' and secure the moduleI noticed the following performance gains in my laptop which really are quite significant : Applications appears to open & run much faster now, especially when using Chrome The laptop runs much quieter now as the need to access the hard disk for cached data is greatly reduced I also ran a the Passmark benchmark test and it scored well for a budget RAM.
