Armed with a triple-fan cooler and a fully customized design XFX manages to deliver. Armed with 12GB of graphics memory, will it be enough? In this review we start off with of overview and analysis, we'll be discussing the Radeon Series 6700 XT from AMD that stems from the RDNA2 architecture. It certainly took a while for AMD to release it, back in July 2019 AMD announced the NAVI-based Radeon RX 5700 and 5700 XT. a product series that ever since has been well respected. Microsoft and Sony consoles embedded with AMD technology revealed that Ray tracing was going to be supported. And that did set the trend for the desktop graphics card we see announced today as well. Sapphire NITRO+ AMD Radeon announced the card at their 'Where Gaming Begins epi3' presentation (March 3, 2021). As earlier indicated, only one NAVI22 SKU is released at this time. The Radeon RX 6700 XT. A Non-XT version may follow at a later date. The RX 6700 XT will be commercially available starting on the 18th of March 2021. Reference cards and customs cards launch on the same date. Navi22 XL, the GPU that resides on the 6700 XT graphics card series has been paired with 12 GB of GDDR6 graphics memory Armed with RDNA2 architecture and 40 CUs this offers 2560 shading processors, the same amount as the Radeon RX 5700 XT, the architecture, however, is much faster. Sapphire NITRO+ AMD Radeon really designed a nice premium product, and while in the more mainstream/high-end segment, this product looks like is the beefiest you'll ever have seen. It is based on a triple-fan cooler and a 2.7-slot design with a duo of six and 8-pin PCIe power connectors, the card is bound to please and tease many. The card has 11 power phased, nine for GPU and two for the memory subsystem. The modified RX 6700 XT graphics card has an outspoken black and silver design with a backplate. In the I/O area, the card includes three DisplayPort 1.4 ports, one HDMI 2.1. Clock frequencies are listed as being a 2622MHz Boost. The Boost frequency however isn't a fixed setting anymore these days and can even vary per card a little. TGP allowance at performance mode is 211W. But as stated depending on the power allowance and even ASIC quality it can have different values. The 12GB GDDR6 memory clocks in at 2000 MHz (16 Gbps effective). The most bitter pill to swallow is the price, $579 USD. The card has a length of close to 31cm, weighs in at just over 1 KG, and has been fitted with dual-BIOS. Gigabyte GT 710 instructions failed to mention the BIOS. My monitor did not work at first because when I booted, it was plugged into the new card. I pressed "delete" a few times hoping the computer would open BIOS so i could shut down, plug back into the onboard video card and then enter BIOS to disable the onboard video, and default to the PCIe slot. Once I did that, we were in business. Someone who is not familiar with BIOS might suspect the card does not work...don't forget to change your BIOS when you use onboard video card BEFORE you install the card. Once I got past that hiccup, it was fine. What i do NOT like is these companies now send a card without a CD or installation software and drivers. Not everyone has internet these days Yes hard to believe, But i purchased this for someone who has a home desktop computer, when i installed the card i was stunned that there were NO drivers or installation disk in the box. Companies are getting so cheap. I had to drive home over 40 miles D/L the software place it on a CD drive back to install the software for the card to run. Totally ridiculous. Gigabyte GT 710 card on the other hand works great now that i have it installed., Make sure you install the software that comes with the video card. The windows default software technically works... but it is no good. Use the included software and then check for updates to assure you have the video card running at its best. Installation of software and drivers took forever. Once installed ran machine for about an hour. Next use was online gaming where this crashed and sent me to a black screen after only 10 minutes of online online multiplayer gaming. It has been returned and my older BFG 550 Ti is back in running like a champ. Now Asus has (via momomo_us) recently and quietly launched a new model of the GeForce GT 730, a graphics card that dates back to 2014 and was far from being one of the best graphics cards even back then. Still, the new Asus GeForce GT 730caters towards professionals that are looking for a graphics card to enable multi-monitor productivity, which does give it at least an excuse of relevance even today. The graphics card comes equipped with four native HDMI 1.4b ports with HDCP 2.2 support and drives monitors with resolutions up to 4K (3840 x 2160). Built with Asus' Auto-Extreme technology, the GeForce GT 730 comes in a single-slot design with dimensions of 5.8 x 4.1 x 0.7 inches (148 x 105 x 18mm). Not that we expected it to be bulky, but this means it should have no problems fitting inside small-form-factor (SFF) systems. Like countless other GeForce GT 730 models before it, Asus' latest rendition features a passive cooling system to keep your system's noise low. This particular variant of the GeForce GT 730 utilizes GDDR5 memory, therefore, the GK208 (Kepler) silicon powers the graphics card.
